POSITION SUMMARY Nashville State Community College (NSCC) is seeking a qualified CDL Driver to operate a mobile classroom for its Workforce and Community Development programs and support NSCC students and initiatives. This mobile classroom may travel to all seven NSCC campuses, as well as to other community and industry locations. The CDL Driver/Operator will play a critical role in supporting the College's mission to provide accessible education and training opportunities by ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the mobile classroom.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safely operate a mobile classroom vehicle to designated locations, including NSCC campuses and community/industry partner sites. Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in proper working condition. Coordinate with program staff to plan routes and schedules. Set up and secure the mobile classroom at each site, ensuring a safe and functional environment for participants. Perform light maintenance and report any mechanical issues promptly. Assist with loading, unloading, and securing classroom equipment and materials as needed. Maintain accurate records of travel logs, fuel usage, and maintenance reports.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum two (2) years of experience operating large vehicles.
Possession of a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), Class B, with a clean driving record.
Experience operating large vehicles, preferably in an educational or community outreach setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Familiarity with NSCC campuses or the greater Nashville area.
Experience working with wide range populations or in a community-focused role.
Ability to assist with minor vehicle troubleshooting and basic mechanical tasks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Understanding of federal and state transportation laws and regulations. Familiarity with vehicle inspection procedures and basic maintenance practices. Knowledge of Nashville and surrounding areas, including NSCC campus locations. Excellent driving skills with experience operating large vehicles in various settings. Position Summary: The overall purpose of this job is to assist in setting up and maintaining Health Science labs, primarily Surgical Technology, Radiologic Technology, and Nursing as needed site campuses with the required supplies, materials, and equipment for the faculty. This includes repackaging supplies, assisting to set up the Operating Room, coordinating equipment with the coordinators and in hospital lab spaces, and cleaning equipment. This position is also responsible for handling and coordinating delicate and expensive equipment at the site campuses and affiliated hospitals.
Essential Functions: 
40% Set up Surgical Technician and Radiologic Technician laboratories with required supplies, materials, and equipment: repackage supplies, provide working equipment for students to use, ensure that supplies are readily available, and clean equipment after labs.&nbsp; Assist Nursing with any of these needs as well.
25% Communicate laboratory and general supplies for Health Science Courses (Surgical Technician, Radiologic Technician, and Nursing).&nbsp;
15% Inventory supplies, check equipment, and perform minor repairs or adjustments on equipment, under the direction of the Health Science Lab Coordinator.&nbsp; Be able to travel to all campuses and affiliate hospitals that assist with labs.
10% Clean up of labs after completion of lab exercises, maintaining a clean lab environment in the Health Science lab spaces. Ensure that equipment is cleaned and stored appropriately and according to safety standards.
5% Coordinate with the Health Science Lab Coordinator on simulation needs and assistance.&nbsp; Collaborate with faculty and staff in all Health Science programs for combined simulation experiences.
5% Participate in lab meetings within each program and across the Health Science Department as needed/assigned.&nbsp;

Title: Maintenance Technician
POSITION SUMMARY Under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, performs basic maintenance and repairs to electrical, plumbing and other building systems and provides general carpentry, painting and commercial building repair/maintenance services across all seven of the College’s campuses.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responds to and completes work orders for various maintenance projects and requests in a timely manner. Performs basic plumbing maintenance, including repairing faucets, caulking fixtures, running clogged drain lines and rebuilding &amp; replacing plumbing fixtures. Performs electrical repairs, including replacing light fixtures, lightbulbs and electrical receptacles and switches.
Prepares, primes and paints interior and exterior building surfaces. Installs and repairs drywall, glass, handrails, window blinds, ceiling tile, carpet/floor tiles, baseboard molding, etc. Maintains and repairs doors, locks, closers. Repairs or replaces defective equipment. Conducts preventative repairs on an annual, monthly, weekly and daily basis as needed/assigned.
Travels to extended campuses as assigned to perform routine and preventative maintenance and to assess condition of buildings/systems. Maintains a parts, supplies and equipment inventory and advises supervisor when inventory needs to be replenished. Moves chairs, desks, file cabinets and other furniture and equipment. Assembles furniture as needed. Assists with indoor and outdoor College event set-up and break-down, including tables, chairs, podiums, risers, stages, drapes, banners, etc., along with other miscellaneous requests.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or GED
Three (3) years’ building maintenance experience
Valid driver’s license
Must pass a background investigation, including a favorable motor vehicle record and criminal background report
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience performing building maintenance for an organization with multiple locations/campuses
Prior building maintenance experience in a higher education setting
Completion of a relevant training program, such as electrical, plumbing or EPA Universal, or certification or licensure in a relevant trade
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of basic construction, plumbing, electrical and preventive maintenance principles. Ability to safely use various tools and equipment, such as hammers, drills, saws, wrenches, snow shovels, compressors, golf carts, forklifts, motor vehicle, etc. Working knowledge of building systems, campus operational requirements and utility systems.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with work order and preventative maintenance systems. Ability to frequently walk, stand, stoop, crawl, climb, bend, kneel, work on elevated surfaces, work in small/confined spaces, work overhead and be in awkward positions for extended period of time. Ability to regularly push, pull, lift, move and carry 30 to 50 pounds. Ability to work occasional nights and weekends as needed to support campus events and/or respond to maintenance and weather emergencies.

This is a part-time, Adjunct Faculty position in the Medical Lab Technician program. THIS POSTING IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF AN OPEN POSITION. Job Summary
This is a part-time, Adjunct Faculty position in the Department of Pharmacy Technology. THIS POSTING IS NOT A GUARANTEE OF AN OPEN POSITION. Applications for part-time faculty positions are accepted on a continuous basis and reviewed by the department chair when openings become available. Future teaching assignments are on a term-by-term basis, which may include fall, spring and summer. The Pharmacy Technician Instructor will provide instruction for the Pharmacy Technology program. The instructor will be responsible for providing students with a complete syllabus containing objectives, presenting enthusiastic, organized and clear lectures and classroom activities consistent with the course syllabus as well as labs concurrent with the lectures. Both lecture and labs will be designed to continually promote the development and effective use of the skills in areas such as critical and analytical thinking, evaluation, communication, computation, problem-solving, and decision-making. Providing the student with timely information and feedback on his/her academic progress relative to quizzes, tests, homework, and projects; maintain accurate, up-to-date records of student academic performance; and possessing thorough knowledge and understanding of all college policies. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, academic advising, serving on various committees, participating in professional activities and organizations.
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Prepares and delivers instruction delivers instruction in classroom and clinical facilities on topics in Pharmacy Technology</li>
<li>Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, tests, and papers fairly and consistently; and keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of papers and other work.</li>
<li>Develops curricula and instructional material such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.</li>
<li>Maintains office hours for students seeking academic advice, assists in student recruitment and retention; and assists students with course-related problems outside of the classroom.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA regulations.</li>
<li>Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Dean or Department Chair.</li>
<li>Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.</li>
<li>Participates in departmental and college committees; and provides outreach service to the community.</li>
<li>Effectively administer assessment of student learning and technical objectives.</li>
<li>Ensure safe and reasonable precautions are implemented to protect students, equipment, and facilities.</li>
<li>Prepare for class and lab instruction and show written evidence of preparation.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain a classroom and lab environment conducive to effective learning within the limits of the resources provided.</li>
<li>Maintain standards of teaching on the collegiate level and perform according to the ASHP accreditation standards.</li>

<li>Certified Pharmacy Technician with an Associate Degree or higher; must possess or be pursuing actively, with a written plan for achieving, an Associate’s Degree or an appropriate state teaching credential at a minimum.
