Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for full-time, tenure track faculty positions as Assistant Professor of Information Systems and Security (Cybersecurity) in the Department of Information Systems and Security with a preferred start date of August 2025. These are nine-month contracted positions. These positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
- Teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate level in the technical aspects of cybersecurity. Examples of courses include network security, client and server systems security, and cloud security.
- Research and scholarship in the area of expertise, and professional service to the Department, College, and University.
- The standard teaching load is 3/3 but is negotiable and can be reduced to 3/2 or 2/2 based on research productivity. Coles College flexibly allows summer support for new faculty for up to 3 years.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
A Doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Business Administration, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Management Science or a related discipline, is required. Required degree must be earned by the start date.
Preferred Qualifications Include
- A doctorate degree, or the foreign equivalent, earned from an AACSB accredited college/school.
- Record of prior teaching experience (in-person, online, or hybrid courses).
- Documentation of technical skills in cybersecurity.
- Record of research accomplishments.
- Willingness to serve the needs of the department.
